Did you know infants can see high-contrast black and white patterns from the day they're born? The variety of simple and complex patterns in our 'ulu card set are perfect for little ones to focus on and examine. As they get older, children can use these cards to identify the unique leaf and fruit shapes of the 'ulu tree. When they eventually see them outdoors, we hope they’ll recognize the shapes from their card set!

'Ulu is an important plant to the people of Polynesia and came to Hawai'i as one of the canoe plants. The starchy fruit of the 'ulu is delicious and just one fruit can make a meal for as many as 10 people! 'Ulu is gaining popularity again in Hawai'i and you can find many 'ulu products like hummus, chips, and flour at stores and farmers markets around the islands.
